Faq Answer

Q. When should I have my pet examined by a Veterinary Ophthalmologist?

A.

We recommend all pets start receiving yearly ophthalmic examinations starting at 5 years of age. Additionally we recommend any time you have concerns over your pets vision or appearance of the eye. Common symptoms of eye disease include squinting, increased blinking, scratching or rubbing of the eye, redness of the white/pink tissue of the eye, haziness/ cloudiness or blue discoloration of the center of the eye, reduced vision, increased tearing or a green/yellow discharge from the eye.
